Who Is On The Board of Directors?
The Board of Directors of the AHSAA was formed by the founding members of the organization. Originally conceived by Frank Bontempo and several of his 1978 classmates, the association got off to a false start, but the groundwork was done and fuel for the fire was in place.
After talking to Rob Benn (a teacher of physical sciences at AHS, Class of '83), his sister, Annette Benn (still a local resident, Class of '78), Derick Joy (class of '77), and finally Steve Wittmer (who's oldest daughter now attends AHS, Class of '76) the five founding members came together, and working with their attorney to draught the Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation that guide the organization, were off to a true start.
Here are email links for the officers of the Board of Directors:
- Frank Bontempo (President, Class of '78)
- Derick Joy (Vice President, a.k.a. Dan Borba, Class of '77)
- Annette Benn (Secretary, Class of '78, and soon to be leaving the postion, so if you
might be interested in helping out, please see The Article on the replacement search )
- Steve Wittmer (Treasurer, Class of '76)
- Robert Benn (Director of Faculty Relations, Class of '83)
As this site develops, more details on the Board of Directors, other positions within the association and membership info will be posted.
